Many, including myself, expected the Libertarian Party to get much needed support from the devout followers of Texas Congressman Ron Paul, whose views are borderline libertarian by nature. However, though Libertarian Party candidate, former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson, shares some important ideologies with Paul, Paul's enamored audience has other plans. Paul's supporters state that they are more interested in changing and shaping the platform of the Republican GOP than joining the Libertarians. Many agree that they are Republicans, not Libertarians. Therefore, if you are a Libertarian Party member who is praying for support from Ron Paul supporters, I would look elsewhere. (more information at link below)
