North Carolina Passes Amendment Banning Same-Sex Marriage

North Carolina, yesterday, became the 31st state in the United States to ban same-sex marriage, but for what? President Obama is in support of same-sex marriage. There are many people who do not care: don't ask, don't tell. But are we going to teach our kids that if two men or women love each other, then it is OK to discriminate against them. That is honestly wrong. Nonetheless, same-sex marriage is legal in the states of New York, Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Washington D.C., with the state of Washington soon to follow.
