"Octomom" Files for Bankrupsy

I cannot say I'm shocked. I thought this woman was looney the moment she came on the scene. In January, 2009, Nadya Suleman, a.k.a. "Octomom," gave birth to the second surviving set of octuplets ever conceived. One week later, her octuplets surpassed the world record for longest surviving (the first set only managed to survive one week) set. Though it is clear she gave birth to octuplets, Suleman also has six other children from before this development, giving her a grand total of fourteen children that she is raising on her own.

This week, Suleman filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy, liquidating all of her assets to a court-appointed trustee until all debts to creditors are paid. And boy, does she have a lot of debt. She owes over $30,000 of rent payments on her house, and owes money to many lenders including her own father. She also has had trouble paying her bills, as she has been on welfare for some time. I think this mom may want to consider not having anymore children until she can pay for the ones she has. (more information at link below)
