For the first time in six years, Mad Cow Disease has been spotted in the United States. This finding may have some consumers in a panic, but consumers should not worry about this case. The case was atypical and a complete anomaly from the odd Mad Cow Disease discovered in 2003, 2005, and 2006. Studies by scientists have shown that this case provides no danger to people eating meat or drinking milk from these cows. The biggest worry is that the raw meat market may decline because of the fear of history repeating itself. In 2003, a cow imported from Canada was stated to have the disease, and the stocks for raw meat declined harshly along with exports of meat to other countries coming to a dead stand still. The carcass of this cow, found in California, is under quarantine, and this strain shows no signs of harming humans or other animals. There is no need to worry!
