Famous science fiction writer Ray Bradbury passed away last night in his sleep. He was 91 years old and died peacefully after being ill for a long time. Bradbury is most well known for his book
Fahrenheit 451, a dystopian novel he wrote back in 1953. The book is used in many high school English classes nationwide. I read
Fahrenheit 451 in 10th grade, and it quickly became tied with
To Kill A Mockingbird and
1984 as my favorite book I have ever read. Bradbury is also well known for his books of short stories and his many awards he has won in his life. He was extremely talented and will be missed. This is a huge loss for the literature world. (for more information, click the link below)
