Yesterday, Republican candidate Rick Santorum announced that his campaign would be suspended. With his biggest competition out of the race, Mitt Romney can now focus on his campaign in his attempts to beat incumbent President Barack Obama during the fall. The two other remaining Republican candidates, Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich, are too far behind to catch up at this point. Therefore, many can say that Romney will prevail to win the Republican nomination due to the amount of delegates he has received thus far.
