Former Presidential Candidate Edwards Tries His Luck in Court

One of the most well-respected men in America at one point, former Democratic GOP and Vice Presidential candidate John Edwards has really fallen from his horse over the years. Over the next few months, the former North Carolina prosecutor and Senator will be going to trial for misusing campaign funds in his attempts to gain the Democratic GOP nomination in 2008 (subsequently, Barack Obama took the nomination and the presidency). Hundreds of thousands of dollars went unaccounted for. Edwards' credibility was already shot when the public found out about his affair with a younger woman while his wife was slowly dying from cancer. If convicted, Edwards could face upwards of 30 years in prison. (article is linked below)
